Grandma Esterina and the old ballerina shoes

The work selected in the 25th edition, 2020/2021 of the italian competition “Scarpetta d’Oro”, theme “Put quicksilver on your feet”. It is an adorable illustration depicting a smiling grandmother wearing silver heels, reminiscent of her youth, she dances lightly to the rhythm of music coming from an antique gramophone. Two curious cats, faithful companions of the woman, observe her with eyes shining with interest. The work is made in watercolour and pencils.
